You Season 2 Release Date, Future Plot and More!

Has YOU been renewed on Netflix for season 2?

You, the brand new series from Netflix based on Caroline Kepnes’s book of the same name will get another second season. The show released just a couple of days back but the second season was announced even before. You was originally launched by Netflix back in September 2018, but decided to drop it as they wanted to focus on films. Netflix, on the other hand picked it up and launched on December 26, 2018 surprisingly.

The Netflix original has been dubbed as the new 50 shades of grey as the story is more or less similar. The Netflix original is a dark mixture of multiple shows, including Riverdale, Gossip Girl and a bit of Gone Girl.

The story revolves around Beck, who is stalked by Joe Goldberg. He is so obsessed with her that he goes online and finds out everything about her. He’s like that creepy dude from highschool who is everywhere. Soon, his obsession gets ahead of him and things start to change over time.

What will be the plot of You season 2?

Before I give you more info, I must warn you that there are spoilers ahead. The Season 2 of you will revolve around Joe’s life. As you know, in the first season the story was about his obsession with Beck. In the second season of you, he will be moving from New York to Los Angeles in order to start a fresh life and forget his past. But this time, he spots another girl and begins obsessing over her. The story is based on Caroline Kepenes’s sequel Hidden Bodies.

As of now, the only returning actor for You will be Penn Badley as he’s the lead, the rest is under wraps.

So, when will season 2 of You be on Netflix?

While the production is already off to a roaring start, we don’t have a fixed date yet. Going by recent Netflix trends, we would probably see the second season by the end of September 2019.

You was originally distributed by Netflix, until it brought the rights.
