Itachi was a true shinobi. He sacrificed his own life in order to protect the ones he loved. He chose the village over himself. He is a symbol for true heroism.
Why did the Uchiha clan revolt against the village?
The real reason for the revolt was the separating them from the village. The Uchiha along with the Senju clan were the original founders of Konoha. But the foundation was laid by Uchiha Madara and Hashirama Senju, the first Hokage of Konoha. Other clans were later asked to join them since two of the biggest clans were ready to form an alliance, which was truly a remarkable feat in the age of war. The Uchiha clan were continously monitored and was tasked with the police force by Tobirama Senju.
The village council, Hokage and the Root division were made up of members from Tobirama’s original squad and carried out of date ideas. Danzo wanted to take control of Kurama, it is one of the reasons why he had so many sharingans. In order to accomplish that he needed many sharingans, so he naturally asked Itachi to kill the Uchiha clan also invoking their hate.
Danzo had ties to every top villain including Orochimaru and Obito( you’ll see them in the later part of the series). Deceitfully Danzo achieved his goals and even went on to implant Hashirama’s cells into his body in order to obtain the Rinnegan. He was the one real villain who hid behind the shadows and played all the games until he was taken down by Sasuke.
In order to achieve his eternal dream Danzo played the right cards. He started monitoring the Uchiha. Not to forget he even went on to blame the Uchiha for the Kurama incident, thus spreading hate about the Uchiha clan. The Uchiha clan started despising the village elders.
They hated the fact that they were being tossed and bossed around by villagers. They hated the fact that despite being the original founders of Konoha, they are being treated like shit. Therefore, the leader of the Uchiha clan Fugaku Uchiha took it upon himself and united the whole Uchiha clan. He along with the clan were planning to defeat the village elders and take control over the village.
If you look at things objectively it makes sense that the Uchiha clan were revolting. After all they weren’t the ones who messed things up. It was Danzo and his fucking crew who had no ideology other than killing and going emotionless. It is this what made Konoha a sacrificial piece.
Itachi was a just a pawn in Danzo’s board. He had no control and no say in everything and anything. He was struck between the love from his family and his village. But ultimately chose the village since it involved innocent people who had no ties whatsoever. The man is a legend and in all regard must be appreciated for what he is. So the next time you call someone name, remember everyone has a past they can’t forget.

Before you leave watch this tribute by kesidii
He took the blame on himself and was named a rogue ninja even though he was a hero! Nope, not a hero, he is a Knight!
You may want to explain Danzo’s actions a little bit more because as they are now they make it look like he did everything for no reason.
I️ bet Danzo was the one who made Itachi do it don’t believe be read Itachis story
He was ordered t by Danzo to kill the whole clan. There is no fault of Itachi in this whatsoever He averted a civil war single handedly like a boss.
Couldn’t agree more!
i’m really amaze while reading the article, so much hard work. it’s explain everything !
So glad I was able to help
This is sad!! I called him a villain at the start and now I feel guilty
I know right! I hated him and called him a bastard at the start of the series but look where we are know.
The Uchihas wanted to start a coup because they felt mistreated by Konoha as a whole.
They were given a small positions to fill (the Konohagakure Police Force), they were forced into a corner and sectioned off from the rest of the community. The people in power obviously had very little trust in them. The Uchiha were looking to overthrow the the geezers,Third Hokage, Danzo, and any other advisers, and instate themselves as the leaders. Even though the Third was pretty chill towards the Uchiha, he couldn’t do much for them without them growing a bit crazy with power. Also he had Danzo barking in his ear with some real hatred of the Uchiha.
You can’t say that they were planning a coup to protect themselves from Genocide, because they were planning some risky business that would have serious repercussions should they be caught. They were, so the village took it into their own hands to put down the threat.
Please, please don’t call Itachi a hypocrite. He was looking at the big picture and long term effects on Konoha, “How can I make this fucked up world better?” Killing his family was an interim solution to setting Konoha on a path towards peace.
Konoha upper leadership, exemplified by Danzo, is full of treacherous, vile, sociopaths willing to do anything for power (exactly like all the other villages). Anbu leadership brainwashed Itachi into thinking that killing his blood family was the only way to save “his village,” ie his comrades in anbu and the bastards they serve who would have likely died in the Konoha civil war. Itachi’s fall is basically a story about how Itachi got semi-forced into enlisting in Anbu then, through brainwashing and isolation, went native and was convinced to slaughter his entire clan (including the kids). Just because he can’t face up to being used by Danzo even after his death, don’t think what he did was noble. Also, don’t think for a moment that Sasuke was the only kid in the Uchiha clan; they just died off-screen. You can’t tell me THEY were in on the plot too.
This shit is pretty fucked up
