People who have mild or moderate aplastic anemia may not need treatment as long as the condition doesn’t get worse. People who have severe aplastic anemia need medical treatment right away to prevent complications.
People who have very severe aplastic anemia need emergency medical care in a hospital. Very severe aplastic anemia can be fatal if it’s not treated right away.
What does it conclude? Remember something? Kaori was hospitalised later on in the series; meaning: she was suffering from severe aplastic anemia.
And like I at the beginning of this article, the cause of her death was most likely operation failure and; as for why did it fail? Maybe she didn’t get a suitable donor for her Bone Marrow Transplant or it might have failed due to her deteriorating health.
That’s it for now. Remember, this was just a theory and there is no official news on Kaori’s illness and probably there won’t be any. While some people say it’s Bone Marrow Failure that she suffered from, others say it was ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) due to their symptoms. But I strongly believe it was Aplastic anemia.
Still, Kaori’s death itslef was enough to kill me 🙁 .

I think she was suffering from multiple sclerosis. xtreme exhaustion is one of the symptoms. But still, I think your theory makes sense upto 70%. If Kaori hadn’t died , what would you think would be the ending?

*After Arima finishes his play, he get’s a call from Kaori’s father*
“Kousei my dear, you won’t believe this but the operation was a complete success. And the doctors said they would be discharging Kaori anytime soon based on her condition”

Kousei was getting very nervous when he entered the hospital as he didn’t quite much and it reminded him of his deceased mom.
kaori was sitting in her bed, her mouth curved in a crescent smile when she saw Kousei.
“So here you are, and did you get me any presents?” Lashed Kaori the moment Kousei sat down near her.
“Yeah, I brought you some flowers” mumbled Kousei as he hands a bouquet of fresh flowers to Kaori.
“Only flowers? I wanted some sweets too. How can you come to see a girl who has underwent a surgery with just some flowers?” said Kaori. But soon her anguish turned into a smile, the cut flower smile everyone would want to see. “Then it’s time I guess, with these flowers I can truly express myself my dear Kousei.” She then started to search for something under her pillows and found a letter.
Kaori handed the letter to Kousei and asked him to read. She had asked her parents to give that particular letter to Kousei in case the worst happens and she dies. But since she managed to live through it, she decided to take that letter back from her parents and give it to Kousei.
….Kousei reads the letter…..
Kousei started to cry as he realised his life was not so bad as he had imagined it to be. His life was always filled with love and tender care. Atlast he finished the letter and, his eyes wet and his heart filled with happiness. Then when he looks up. still crying, he finds Kaori above him holding the bouquet of flowers that Kousie had got her.
“I LOVE YOU KOUSEI ARIMA!!! Will you be my lover? I have always loved you from the beginning but I couldn’t confess since my life was at a hang and death the hook.” Kaori hugs Kousei and hears Kousei confess his feelings……… and……….a new story of love begins……..
Then the ending would be Kaori playing her Violin with Kousei playing the Piano.After all,Kaori wanted to play with Kousei again.

It was most likely Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. It makes sense with her losing her ability to walk and her cardiac arrest, as well as her short life expectancy. DMD only affects males but there are very few rare cases of females as well. I mean… this is anime lol
It’s funny how the author hasn’t revealed the details after so long. Usually they do answer these questions in interviews.
A Lots Of Anime i Watch and Seen “Your Lie In April” iS the mOst mOst beautiful ANIME STORY LINE , every muSic i play in that Anime my feeling is vulnerable my heart feel the pain and sadness always recall in my mind what i saw in that anime, WHY ? my Heart feels like this? xD but seriously almost every seconds every minute i play the soundtrack in that anime connecting to my reality life (Sigh) hOw could i mOve On in this Feeling ?
back to kaori’s Ill, it doesn’t mention in the story, but i think the author of the story did that so the viewers may think what it is ^_^ , different kind story line (wOsHh) hehe, Kaori’s illness is the same as arima’s mOther illness i think, the whole STORY is a Summary So Short that was my Observation, im satisfied 12 episode Only, but when kaori is dead maybe i don’t want to watch even the author of that anime make season 2 ” IF HE/SHE DO” 😛

When i watched this anime i didnt cry but it really depressed me in 2 days its really hard to move i really cant accept kaori’s death at first i was ecpecting a good ending but it was sad but beutiful ending.

When I first started watching Your Lie In April, it seemed so happy! Koari was playing her instrument with some kids, who would’ve thought that she was so sick? When I found out she died, I was so sad, it was like I knew her, and when she died, I felt like I lost my best friend. (I’m wayyy to addicted to anime .-.)
