Leila Season 2 Release Date
Netflix has been pumping out new shows targeted at the Indian audience for quite some time. In 2018, Netflix released Sacred Games, Little Things and Selection Day. Earlier this year, Netflix released the second season of Selection Day and Delhi Crime.
Today they released Leila based on Prayaag Akbar’s novel of the same name. The story begins with a foreboding introduction, where the mother goes in search of her missing daughter in a authoritarian state. The trailer has gained mixed responses from people in India, where religion is a sensitive topic. With that being said, this is the first Indian Netflix Original being directed by three directors.
The series stars Arif Zakaria,Huma Qureshi and Siddharth in leading roles. Coming to the production aspect, the series was mostly shot on Noida expressway.
