8 Anime & Manga Clowns
Clowns are meant to be fun and provide goofy entertainment at birthday parties. Then Stephen King wrote IT, presumably as some form of vengeance against the profession.
Pennywise the Dancing Clown is the malevolent monster that has penetrated pop culture and is responsible for generations of people with a fear of clowns. While Pennywise is the king of killer clowns, he’s not the only game in the town. Here are anime and manga characters that are just as deadly.
1. Hisoka (Hunter x Hunter)
This deadly creepy gets sexually aroused by strong people and death. You know what that means? Gon is basically Hisoka’s walking viagra pill. And don’t think acting weak and meek will save you, he’ll just kill you.
2. Champ (Akame ga Kill!)
Akame ga Kill! is filled with deplorable characters, but Champ is so vile that he couldn’t be in the anime. This always smiling clown is a serial pedophile. This sicko believed he was doing a “good deed” in creating angels. I’m gonna puke.
3. Charlotte (Puella Magi Madoka Magica)
Oh look, an adorable little girl! Wait…that’s a razor-teethed, caterpillar bundle of death and despair. The pastel colors are still kinda cute though.
4. Piedmon (Digimon Adventure)
This psycho Digimon yearns to stab everyone with his swords, which might be a euphemism. Piedmon is also crazy strong, so there is a good chance you will be stabbed.
5. Mayuri Kurotsuchi (Bleach)
Mayuri may be as depraved as Pennywise. This clown-like mad scientist loves to study death and pain, which means he’s a certified sadist. His enemies are lucky to meet death in a fight.
6.The Clown (Soul Eater)
Is there any more fitting way to represent literal madness?
7. Penchinon (GaoGaiGar)
Good luck trying to sleep tonight.
8. The Pierrot (Tokyo Ghoul)
Flesh-eating ghouls are creepy enough, but they can inspire pure terror when wearing a clown mask. And of course, the only thing they care about is having “fun” with other people.
