Anime Like Jujutsu Kaisen
What makes anime so special is that it is a visual medium that takes chances in terms of colors and art style, especially compared to other forms of animation. Their stories may not be the greatest, but these anime sure look beautiful! Here are 13 anime like Jujutsu Kaisen.
1. Kyousougiga
The use of bright colors compliments the hyper pacing of the story and the wild nature of Koto.
2. Nagi no Asukara
P.A. Works is known for having beautiful art and you could have picked any of their projects for this list! Nagi no Asukara wins out for having some of the most serene water shots and capturing the idle life of a small town.
3. Noragami
Noragami loves to play around with the color scheme. Dashes of neon and pastel dots action scenes, and gray scale is used for emotional punch during dramatic moments.
4. Guilty Crown
Say what you will about the story, but you can’t deny that Guilty Crown is eye candy!
5. JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Battle Tendency
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure loves to mix up the color scheme on the fly, but I feel Battle Tendency has just the right amount of restraint to go along with some great camera angles.
6. Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
Gankutsuou is so under appreciated by today’s anime fans. The series uses Photoshop textures to add an extra pop to the scenes, which give it an otherworldly look. The story is pretty good too!
7. Redline
We all know the story about how Redline took 7 years and 100,000 hand-drawn frames to make. That amount of dedication really shines through, especially when watching Redline on a home theater system!
8. Concrete Revolutio
I really love anime that use pastel colors in their schemes. Concrete Revolutio also has several cosplay worthy character designs! It is a treat for the eyes.
9. Katanagatari
Katanagatari looks so much better in motion than any still or gif could show.
10. Hidamari Sketch
A series about an art club produced by Shaft has to have beautiful animation and avant-garde scenes! I think this series narrowly beats out Monogatari in terms of artistic value.
11. Mawaru Penguindrum
Kunihiko Ikuhara loves to play with eyes and minds of anime fans. Mawaru Penguindrum is stuffed with visual symbolism, false scenes, flashy colors, and unique animation sequences. There is a lot to digest in this series about a penguin hat!
12. K Project
The color filter adds a modern touch that isn’t seen in other anime. The story can get convoluted at times, but at least it looks top-notch!
13. Humanity Has Declined
Theatre of the Absurd styling, pastel colors all around, and a surreal setting sees Humanity Has Declined as one of the unique anime around.
